USA Wrestling and FloWrestling have set the press conference schedule for all three Final X events in June.

During Final X, the top two men’s and women’s freestyle wrestlers in each weight class will compete in a best-of-three series, earning spots on the U.S. Senior World Team and the opportunity to compete at the 2018 World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary, Oct. 20-28, 2018.

Final X will be held over three consecutive weekends and in three different cities: Lincoln, Neb., on June 9, State College, Pa., on June 16, and Bethlehem, Pa., on June 23.

Each of the press conferences will be held on the Friday prior to the Final X event in that city. The press conference in each location will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the women’s freestyle Final X participants, followed by the men’s freestyle participants at 4:45 p.m. The entire press conference should be completed by 5:30 p.m.

 

Final X in Lincoln press conference

Friday, June 8 at 4:00 p.m. CT

Women participants (4:00 p.m.) – 59 kg – Alli Ragan and Jenna Burkert; 55 kg – Becka Leathers and Jacarra Winchester; 68 kg – Tamyra Stock and Randyll Beltz

Men participants (4:45 p.m.) - 70 kg – James Green and Jason Chamberlain; 97 kg – Kyle Snyder and Kyven Gadson; 57 kg – Thomas Gilman and Daton Fix; 74 kg – Jordan Burroughs and Isaiah Martinez

Women participants (4:00 p.m.) – 50 kg – Whitney Conder and Victoria Anthony; 53 kg – Sarah Hildebrandt and Haley Augello; 65 kg – Julia Salata and Forrest Molinari; 57 kg – Helen Maroulis and Alex Hedrick

Men’s participants (4:45 p.m) – 61 kg – Joe Colon and Nahshon Garrett; 92 kg – J’den Cox and Hayden Zillmer; 125 kg – Nick Gwiazdowski and Adam Coon

Each press conference will include a short formal section in which athletes make a statement, followed up by questions from the media, and concluded with a chance for one-on-one interview opportunities.
